Once you make a minimum in-game purchase (IAP) of $2.99, those ads will be removed!

You'll see added notification of this, in the lower-right, at either currency bank when considering making a purchase:

Note that this does not stop announcements about the game itself, such as event notifications or Specials on in-game currency.
