If you've connected with Facebook, a backup is kept of the game - just in case your phone gets reset or some other data loss occurs.  

We do not, however, recommend trying to troubleshoot by re-installing.  The Facebook backup may not be 100% reliable and you could risk losing progress.  Please contact Customer Care before taking any drastic measures.  We're here to help!
