By default your character doesn't have any outfits. They are gained piece by piece when spinning historical crates.
There are 3 types of outfits: shooting bags, clothing and backpacks. Only one bag, one piece of clothing and one backpack can be equipped at a time, and only equipped gear contribute to your character's total Rating.
