There are a couple of ways to send and receive supplies: 

 

1.  If you tap on the "+" button next to your supplies balance, there is an option to "Ask Friends" for supplies.

 

2.  When you enter an episode's introductory screen (just before starting it), there is a "High Scores" leaderboard to the left. You can tap on the Supplies icon to send supplies to your friends!
