Monetary transactions are not handled directly by EA, but are handled for us by Apple.
 
First make sure the transaction went through.  If you have not received an email from Apple verifying the purchase:
  • Go to Settings > [your name] > iTunes & App Store.
  • Tap your Apple ID, then tap View Apple ID. You might be asked to authenticate your Apple ID. If you use Family Sharing, you'll see in your purchase history what you bought using your Apple ID, but you won't see what other family members bought. To see what other family members bought, sign in with their Apple ID.
  • Scroll to Purchase History and tap it.
Once a transaction is completed, the game continually checks the store for confirmation of the transaction, and once received, the purchase will become available in game. 

While most transactions complete quickly, occasionally the crediting of currency by the online store may be delayed.  Delays are rarely longer than a day.  

Rest assured, if you do not get your purchase immediately the game will keep checking.
Additionally, you may want to try force-quitting the app and re-launching it.
