When you are designing a room, tags will remain on the items that you have not purchased yet.

You can have up to two unpurchased Items in your room while designing. If you place more than two items with the tag still on them, one of the unpurchased Items will disappear from the room.

Make sure to purchase all of the unowned items in the room in order to enter a Challenge.
